Oil Paint and Charcoal on a Flat Clayboard Panel

Finneas is currently my favorite musician & songwriter because he can so beautifully and authentically write about things that are normal to the human experience. This painting was inspired by his song, “Love is Pain”. In this song, Finneas explores the side of love that hurts - the feeling that it’s not enough, the arguments, the loss of friends & family. He writes so expressively that a lot of different images come to mind for me while listening to this song. I can imagine the scenes he is setting, and I feel a darkness over all of them. I see a moon rising, a desolate landscape, and the depths of dark waters. There is an intertwining of two people, but also they are parallel and missing each other, just as the threads in this painting are.

The painting is signed by the artist. It was created on a flat clapboard panel, and will need to be framed in order to be hung. Please contact Kaitlyn for help with framing if needed.
