Do you have a song that you would love for me to paint? Let’s enter into the creative process together. I will ask you questions about the song so I can gain an understanding of what it means to you, how you feel when you listen to it, and what images it brings to mind for you. I will use this information, as well as my own interpretations of the song, to create an abstract image for the painting that will be completely unique to your piece.

I begin each commission by writing the words of the song on the wood panel. Then I’ll use oil paint and charcoal to create layers for the finished piece, bringing the song to life. My goal is to capture the emotion of the song in the form of a painting.

Commissions start at $300, and prices vary by size. Each one is custom painted, layer by layer, using oil paint, which dries slowly. Therefore, commissions usually take 2-3 months to finish. If you would like to give the painting as a gift in a shorter time frame, I can make a certificate for you to give showing that there is a painting in progress. This time frame may be shorter or longer depending on the size of the commission and how many other paintings I currently have in progress.
