My Dandelion, 18"x24"
Oil Paint & Charcoal on Wood Panel
Inspired by the song, “Dandelion,” by Oliver Hazard
Inspired by “Dandelion” by Oliver Hazard, this painting is a celebration of the overlooked, the ordinary, and the deeply beloved. Bright and full of light, it evokes rolling hills scattered with wildflowers and dandelions—those resilient little blooms we once saw as treasures. The lyrics were first written in charcoal on the wood panel, their quiet presence still flickering beneath the surface like forgotten wishes. With each layer of oil paint, I leaned into the simplicity and joy of childhood: how a weed could become a gift, and a field could become a kingdom. "My Dandelion" is about love in its most tender forms—the kind that starts young and stays with us, blooming quietly in memory.
