I’ve Got Dreams Again, 36"x24"
Oil Paint & Charcoal on Wood Panel
Inspired by the song, “The View Between Villages,” by Noah Kahan
Inspired by “The View Between Villages” by Noah Kahan, this piece is a homecoming—to the roads that shaped us, the hills we ran, and the versions of ourselves we left behind. I began by writing the lyrics in charcoal on the wood panel, letting them settle into the grain like old memories. Then came the oil paint, layered with the same bittersweet hope that comes from revisiting the place you grew up. This painting holds that moment when teenage dreams rush back in, undimmed by time, wild and aching. The feeling of being young and full of fire, when everything was possible and every heartache felt like the end of the world. It's a love letter to the in-between places—both real and remembered—where who you were and who you are collide.
