A New Process
The creative process I used to create the paintings in the Evoke Collection is totally different from my other recent collections, so I thought you should have some insight on how I got here and what the inspiration was.
City Lights Collection Inspiration
The City Lights Collection combines my love of people and my love of the city. It is inspired by the emotional connection to the viewer through the portrait, and also the blurry city lights that feel like they’re swirling around you as you walk through the city at night. My goal is to make you stop and feel the atmosphere of the city, to be there with the subject
Shadows
I find that I often start in darkness and have to battle to see the light. Maybe that’s part of growing up and seeing how the world actually operates. Seeing how much darkness there is, and how little knowledge we actually have. How little our abilities are to actually fix problems.
