The Moment, 36"x24"

$600.00

Oil Paint and Charcoal on Wood Panel

This painting was inspired by the song, “Feeling a Moment,” by Feeder. It’s been a favorite of mine for a long time, mostly because of the intro to the song. I have vivid memories of being in high school and blasting this song, driving with all my windows down. I felt so free. The melody and the lyrics feel both haunting and liberating.

The images that came to mind for me when I thought of this song were a cloudy day on the beach, a car on a two lane road headed to the middle of no where, and cliffs overlooking the sea. These came together in deep and light blues, with a hint of ochre and white. One of my favorite parts of this piece are the lyrics written in charcoal barely coming through the paint towards the top right of the painting. It was painted on a lightweight wooden panel that is 2” deep and can be framed if you would like. The painting is signed, wired, and ready to hang as is.
