Frenchman Bay, 10"x8"

$150.00

Oil Paint on Clay Coated Hardboard Panel, 10”x8”

Walking around the shoreline of the bay with a homemade ice cream in hand, watching the boats come and go. Thinking about the hideaways discovered on hikes earlier in the day, and looking forward to a fresh lobster roll for dinner.

If you’ve been around here for awhile, you know how much I love Maine, specifically Bar Harbor & Acadia National Park. I even created a whole collection of paintings based on the trip I took there (the Coastal Mist Collection). I had been wanting to paint this picture, but it didn’t fit the style I was using for that Collection. When I began exploring with water-based oils, I knew that this was the perfect piece. The drips and the flow of the paint only add to the allure of the bay.

This piece was created with water-soluble oil paints on a clay coated hardboard panel. The blues, grays, and whites in this painting make it a calming addition to any room. I recommend that this piece be framed without glass. The board is thin and can be easily framed.
